As a mom traveling with children, I have always tried to be prepared.  Food, drinks, diapers, etc. was always packed for a trip.  As my children grew up I wanted to be sure they were still prepared.  We made Safety Packs for them to be left in their car for emergencies.  As I watched the masses fleeing Katrina I wondered how many of those people had emergency packs in their cars. 
 
I thought about snow storms, earthquakes, hurricaine evacuations, and auto accidents on the interstates backing up traffic for hours.
 
Then came the knowledge of the effects of an EMP (Electrical Magnetic Pulse).  What would happen if the power goes out?  What if it is out for a week, a month, a year?  How will people survive?  This led us to being prepared for all emergencies.
 
Our focus at Carolina Readiness Supply is to keep our community and region informed on the "how to" of readiness planning while supplying the best quality goods and services to meet these needs.
